Wayne Douglas Byas

LaCenter, KY, Wayne Douglas Byas, age 70, died at his home in LaCenter Wednesday afternoon at 4:37 p.m.

He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and served as a past Deacon at the church. He owned and operated Byas Masonry for several years. In past years he had served at Mt. Moriah Church.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Bledsoe Byas of LaCenter; two sons, Mark Byas (Becky) of Louisville and Micah Byas of Kevil; one daughter, Marsha Byas of Marion, IL; four brothers, Troy Byas of LaCenter, Thomas Byas (Sue) of Springfield, IL, Warren Byas (Jocelyn) of West Paducah, and Jeff Byas of LaCenter; four sisters, Shirley O'Neal of Kevil, Naomi Yates (Wardel) of Kevil, Linda Byas Sikes of Irving, TX, and Barbara Yates (Earnest) of LaCenter; and eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Mary Ester Stone Byas, one brother, Clois Byas, and one grandson, Jean Trell Byas.

Visitation for Wayne Byas will be Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Morrow Funeral Chapel of LaCenter. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Rodney Hill, Rev. Sharrard Blanden, Pastor Calvin Cole and Rev. Franklin Stone officiating.

Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Kevil, KY.
