Alma Summers

Kevil, Ky Alma L. Summers, age 85, died Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 6:13 p.m. at Baptist Health of Paducah, KY. She was born November 29, 1931 to Walker and Ruby Buchanan.

Alma was a long time member of Kevil First Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son John Summers and wife Tammy of Kevil, KY; one sister Genva Elkins and husband W.C. of Paris, TN; eight grandchildren, Jerry Summers and wife Robin of Kevil, KY, Carl Summers of Chattanooga, TN, Dawn Wierzba and husband Gene of WI, Sandra Summers Dennison and husband Tommy of Ashville, NC, Charlie Summers of WI, Brandy Polivick and husband Dusty of Kevil, KY, Lisa Summers of Kevil, KY, Tony McDonald and wife Jenni of TX; several Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild.

Alma was preceded in death by her husband Carl Summers, her parents, Walker and Ruby Buchanan, one son James Richard Summers, and one sister Bobbie Jean Dillard.

Visitation for Alma will be Tuesday, January 17, 2017, from 5 - 8pm at Morrow Funeral Chapel of Lacenter. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 11am at Morrow Funeral Chapel of LaCenter with the Rev. Stewart Strickland officiating. Interment will follow at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Dyer, TN.
