Andrew Lee Pool

Wickliffe, KY Andrew Lee Pool Jr. died Friday morning, February 8, 2019 at 1:35 a.m. at Life Care Center of LaCenter, KY. Andrew was born June 27, 1925 to his parents Willie and Andrew Lee Pool Sr. He later eloped and married his sweetheart, Mary Odom January 4, 1955. They were together 63 years before she preceded him in death on September 11, 2018. He was a member of The First General Baptist Church in Barlow, KY. He was retired from the Navy as a World War II, veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Labor Local Union # 1214 for 30 years. He retired after several years of service from TVA. Like Mary he was a huge Kentucky Wildcats fan. He spent many hours watching them play basketball with his children and grandchildren passing on his love of the game to them. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Andrew is survived by two sons Billy Eugene Pool ( Tina) of LaCenter, KY, James Lee Pool (Ladona) of Nashville, TN; three daughters Patricia Ann Hall of Wickliffe, KY, Peggy Bell (David) of Fred, Texas, and Sherry Pool of Columbia, South Carolina. Seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Pool, two brothers; James Pool and Mathis Pool. His parents; Andrew Lee and Willie Morgan Pool Sr. Visitation will be Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter. Funeral Services will be Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with the Dr. Wes Conner officiating. Interment will follow at Wickliffe City Cemetery.
