Regina ... I am so sorry to hear of Betty's passing ... I so admired her and knew her from attending Pleasant Valley Church when we both were young ...I always thought her and Gene were the best looking couple ever ... my heart goes out to you and your family ...

When mom and dad's house was destroyed by the tornado, Betty Lou came by to check on them. I can still see her sitting in the lawn chair with dad telling him some story that I'm sure lightened his mood. There was a lot of debris, but there she was at 88 making her way around in the rain like someone half her age. She came in what was left of the house and cracked some one-liners to make us all laugh and see if she could help. Just being there helped. It said a lot about what kind of person she was. She was one-of-a-kind. We will miss her here, but there is true joy in knowing her spirit lives forever.

Y'all are in our thoughts and prayers, we thought allot of Betty Lou, and your right she never met a stranger. I sure know she thought the world of my Aunt Peggy and Uncle Johnnie Dowdy. If y'all need anything don't hesitate to give us a yell.
