Harriett Moore Terrell, age 95 of Jackson, TN formerly of LaCenter passed away Sunday March 11, 2018 at the Jackson Madison County Hospital in Jackson, TN. Harriett was born on July 11, 1922 to Gertrude Moore and Charles Moore of Somerset, KY. She attended school in Somerset and attended Eastern Kentucky University. She worked at the University of Kentucky where she met Ronald Earl Terrell, Jr. They married and moved to LaCenter, KY. There she lived a full life teaching and working in the school system. Most of all, she ministered to family and friends by spending countless hours taking folks to appointments and sitting with them in the hospital. She was extremely active in her church teaching Sunday School, serving as a counselor for UMYF, heading up evangelism efforts, serving as President of the Wesleyan Guild and UMW, leading prayer groups, and ultimately helping to start Grace United Methodist Church in LaCenter, KY. She was known for her cherry pies and divinity. She moved to Jackson, TN in 2011 to be closer to her children and joined Aldersgate UMC. She lived at the Jackson Meadow and continued being active by organizing bridge games and leading the prayer group on Thursdays. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald and sister Dorothy Huff. She leaves her daughter Jane Ramer, son Pat (Rachel) Terrell, grandson Justin (Katie) Ramer, granddaughter Jessica (Rob) Platt, and her great grands Jack and Callie Rose Ramer, Noah Milone and Etta Jane Platt. Visitation will be held at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY, Friday March 16, 2018 at 10:00 am up till funeral time. Funeral will follow at 11:00 am with the Rev. Justin Ramer officiating. Interment will be at LaCenter Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, P.O.
