I was thinking of Jamie today, as I have not seen him or heard from him in probably over a decade, so I tried to find him on social media...and here I am...We were friends when I was in high school and college, and our friendship blossomed over our love of music and people. He was one of the kindest souls I have ever encountered and I am shattered to learn of his passing. To his children - if you ever need anything -- advice, support, help, etc -- please feel free to contact me via email.

Jamie was a fine young man, and will really be missed by everyone. He's in Heaven with his son, Christopher and the rest of his loved ones . I always loved the smile he had on his face. I had the privilege of seeing him grow up to the fine young man he was.

I remember Jamie as a wonderful happy little boy full of mischief and, yes, sometimes oneriness but he was a special young man and I will always remember his sweet smile that I received when we visited at Shepherds. Will see you again one day sweet boy!

I watched Cathy grow up and always loved her then I had the privilege to watch her children grow up I know they loved them sooooo much. I can not begin to imagine their heartache. I know that THEY KNOW they will see him again. He is in the arms of the angels now. I pray for the whole family. But most of all for Cathy. She loved him nine months longer than anyone

Message from Elizabeth Dowdy - August 19 at 08:51 PM

I'm writing this for myself, Elizabeth Dowdy, and my brother, Aaron Jenkins. Jamie will be greatly missed, He was a wonderful musician and Aaron said to tell everyone that he loved them and that Jamie was one of his very best friends. I am so sorry for your loss and he will be greatly missed, there hasn't been a day that had gone by that Aaron hasn't thought about him since he had his wreck, and asked about him often.

I knew Jamie from classes at Murray State. He was always upbeat and was so helpful to me as I was new to the college. Everyone liked Jamie so much, this includes his professors as well. Jamie worked so hard in college and was going to met his goals for the future. I know everyone that knew him were so very proud of him, as I was. I will not forget Jamie's kindness to me at Murray State. He was a good person and friend. Patty Harris
