Janet Kay Trevathan

Barlow, KY Janet Kay Trevathan, age 75, died at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Florida Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 12:35 a.m. She was born to John and Catherine Phipps Dennis on May 23, 1944. Janet was a member of Gum Corner Baptist Church. She cooked at the Shell Station and Donut Shop in Wickliffe for several years. For the last 20 years she has worked along side her daughter Cindy Morgan at A Cut Above in LaCenter, KY as a hairdresser. She loved her family, church family, and her animals. She especially adored her only grandchild; Corbin and her great Niece; Cailey Lynn. She is survived by two sons; Dennis Luther Trevathan and his fiance’ Anita Wyatt of Grahamville, KY and Bradley James Trevathan and his wife Stacy of Barlow, KY. One daughter Cindy Morgan and her husband Jeff of Barlow, KY. One sister Georgia Bean of Barlow, KY. One grandson Corbin Foster of Barlow. Janet was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years James Trevathan, two brothers Dick Dennis and Bob Dennis and her parents. Visitation will be Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Gum Corner Baptist Church from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Services will be Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Gum Corner Baptist Church at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ryan Hedrick officiating. Interment will follow at Barlow Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Gum Corner Baptist Church.
