Kate Evangeline Hunter

Kevil, KY Kate Evangeline Hunter passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at 2:40 p.m. at Superior Care Home in Paducah, KY. She retired from McCracken County School System as a Secretary at Heath Elementary in 1996. She is a member of Lone Oak Church of Christ and also attended Heath Church of Christ. Kate is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Aubrey Hunter of Kevil. One daughter; Linda Crosswhite (Russ) of Murray, Ky. A son who she was appointed guardian when he was 14, Brian Nicklaus (Marisa) and his two children, Samuel Garner Nicklaus and Evangeline Rose Nicklaus of Nashville, TN. Two sisters, Bertie Guess Jordan and Jean Guess Hite and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Aubrey Hunter, a brother Winfred Guess and her parents William and Ruby Moore Guess. Visitation will be Sunday, September 1, 2019 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel In LaCenter, KY. Funeral Services will be Monday, September 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter. with Russ Crosswhite officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah.
