Lydia Carroll

KEVIL: Lydia Carroll, 65, of Kevil, KY went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 26, 2018, with family by her side after an extended battle with cancer. On August 8, 1970, Lydia married the love of her life and best friend, Tommy Carroll. Graduate of Lone Oak High School, Lydia was a member of KEA and Milburn Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She retired from Ballard County Schools in October of 2017. Lydia truly touched the lives of those who were blessed to cross her path. She had energy and determination that made it hard for others to follow, and a heart that has made an impact on so many lives. The compassion that she showed, from her family and friends to her students over the years, provided the guidance that we can’t help but use throughout our days. Lydia is loved and will be missed by her husband of 47 years, Tommy Carroll; her children, Chad (Sami) Carroll of Kevil, KY, Jeremy (Bobbie) Carroll of Metropolis, Ill, Wendy (Eddy) Miller, of LaCenter, KY, Drue (Sarah) Carroll, of Hazel, KY, and Misty (Matt) Nicholson, of Elizabethtown, KY. She was a doting “Grammie” to Tanner, Mikey, Lexi, Brian, Tami, Corey, Ethan, Abby, Nic, Lannie, Drake, and Zachary. She is also survived by her mother and a sister. Visitation for Lydia will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 9-10 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY with the Rev. Ryan Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
