Martha Agnes (Gunn) Howle

Barlow, KY Martha Agnes Howle, age 87, died at Baptist Health at 10:18 p.m., Sunday February 3, 2019. Martha was born to Raymond and Evelyn Gunn May 31, 1931. She was a member of Barlow United Methodist Church.She was Valedictorian of her High School graduating class in 1949. Martha moved to Chicago, Illinois and was employed by the Glidden Paint Company. She was introduced to her husband Eddie Gene Howle by her cousin Leon Gunn. She then moved back to Ballard County to become a farmers wife. Martha retired after being employed for over 30 years with Geveden Law Office in Wickliffe, KY. She was the first woman Magistrate in Ballard County. She is survived by two daughters; Raylyn Peyton and her husband Ray of Barlow, KY and Stacey Howle of Murray, KY. One grandson; Greg Peyton and his wife Amy of Barlow, KY and One great grandson; Eli Peyton of Barlow, KY. Several nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by two sisters; Barbara Bennett and Raylyn Gunn. Her parents were Raymond and Evelyn Gunn. Visitation will be Tuesday Evening, February 5, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY. Graveside Services will be Wednesday, February 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Barlow Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Fickes officiating. Interment will follow at Barlow Cemetery.
