Welcome to the memorial page for

Robby Edwards Wernersback

June 8, 1922 ~ April 7, 2017 (age 94) 94 Years Old
Robby Lee Edwards Stroh Wernersback, 94, of Centennial, CO,, and formerly of West Palm Beach, FL passed away peacefully from kidney disease Friday, April 7, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Robby was born and raised in Oscar, KY by her parents, Arthur K Edwards, Sr and Willie May Holman, along with her siblings, Anna B., Liz and A.K. JR. Her mother died from tuberculosis when Robby was only 5 years old. She was raised by her loving father, who memory she cherished. They lived a simple life on a tobacco farm, but to the Edwards clan they were rich beyond measure due to their close-knit family and faith.
Robby's father died from a brain tumor when she was 18 years old. After this loss, she went to live with her sister Anna B. and brother-in-law, Buck Crenshaw in Jackson, Mich. In 1944 during World War II, she joined the Cadet Nursing Corps to train to be a nurse. Due to her tender-hearted nature, she was unable to complete the training, as it was too hard for her.
While living in Jackson, she met her first husband, the late E. Alan "Al" Stroth, while he was at port serving with the U.S. Navy. After they married in 1946, they moved to West Palm Beach where they raised their four children. Robby sold flight insurance for Wright & Seaton at Palm Beach International Airport for 20 years.
Robby and Al divorced in 1970, and she later married William Wernersback, who passed away in 1983. After her retirement, she worked at a Hallmark store for many years until she moved to the Denver area in 1991 to live with her youngest daughter, Gail Smith and family.
Nothing made Robby happier than spending time with her family and friends. She found much enjoyment in cooking for her family and creating ceramics for them. She was described by everyone she knew as the most caring, compassionate, patient and unselfish person they had ever met. She not only raised her own children, but helped raise each of her grandchildren and even some great-grandchildren. She also was blessed with many friends, and the lives she touched are beyond measure. She was truly an angel among us on Earth.
Robby was preceded in death by her husband, William Wernersback of West Palm Beach; her daughter, Cathy Davis of Florence, Ala.; her sisters, Ana B. Crenshaw of Scottsdale, Arizonia and Elizabeth Tilford of Oscar, KY; and her brother Arthur K. Edwards of Paducah, KY.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her loving daughters Gail (Randy) Smith of Centennial and Patty Goodmark of Florence; her son, John "Chip" Stroh of Florence, her grandchildren, David (Sharron) Brown of Murphy NC, Michelle Brown of Aurora, CO, Paul Ranger of Jupiter, FL, Dina Cannon of Florence, Art (Angela) Stroh of Ellijay, GA, Shannon (Joe) Burgess of Tallahassee, FL, Megan Stroh of Tallahassee, Evan Smith and Kacie Smith both of Centennial; plus many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends, all whom she loved and adored. Not to be forgotten is her granddog, Oliver, who sat by her side every day until she left for heaven and misses grandma very much.
Robby's wishes were to be cremated , then laid to rest with her parents and siblings at the church cemetery in Oscar. Services will be held at 1 P.M. on what would have been her 95th birthday--June 8, 2017--at Oscar Baptist Church, with the famly gathering afterward in the fellowship hall.
