As Father's day approaches I still miss you and will always love you!! You were a "top shelf" Daddy!! You taught me to search for the answers, not accept what anybody else said, to change tires and oil and always have respect for my elders. I could not have asked for a better father to teach me how to survive. I will always be grateful that you taught me the love of God and family!! Love and miss you Daddy. Love ALWAYS, your baby girl, Genie

Kim, Karen, Genie & Sandra... My heart goes out to you. I am so very sorry for your loss. I was always kind of afraid of Thurman when we were growing up~~~I have absolutely no idea as to why! He was always a kind and nice man. If there is anything that I can do, please let me know. All of you, and the rest of the family are in my prayers. Love you all! Dixie (Hammonds) Butts.

Even though we hadn't know Thurman very long, we thought alot of him. My husband knew him through the golf course. He was always kind enough to call my husband or my husband would call him to invite each other to golf. They enjoyed each other's company on the golf course. It was nice to see him golfing with one of his grandsons(great?)too. Thurman in our book was one of the good ones. We will miss him
