Adele Madding, 101, passed away peacefully at LifeCare of LaCenter on October 7th, 2024, at 1:53 p.m. After a full life of joy and laughter, she was met at the gates of heaven by Jesus.
Adele was born to Eddie and Dora Kerley on June 28th, 1923. She was a God fearing, hardworking, and loving Mammaw and Aunt Dell. Adele loved the Lord and she loved to sing and dance. She loved her family and was an excellent cook. Her family's favorites were always her biscuits and gravy. Adele was a charter member of Grace Valley Baptist Church in Kevil, KY where she served the church and shared the love of Jesus with many people.
Adele is survived by her great grandson, Josh Polley known to Mammaw as HotRod, (Nikki), great granddaughter Jennifer Solomon, known to Mammaw as Sweetpea, (Adam), her dear nieces who cared for her Tina Smith (Kenneth), Sebrina White, her niece who was like a daughter Tometta Wilds, (Dan), her great-great grandchildren Mackenzie Hardy, Liam, Lily, and Leo Polley and Grant (Honey Bun) and Reese (Sugar Plum) Solomon, sister-in-law Beverley Madding, and many other dearly loved family members.
Adele is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Madding; her parents, sisters Burdie Steele and Lily Mason, brothers, Elmer Kerley, Louis Kerley, and Norman Kerley, and many other dearly loved family.
The family asks you to join them in celebrating her life by attending visitation on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Morrow Funeral Chapel from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Graveside Services will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Glen Crowe officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you give to the Alzheimer's Association, Alzheimer's Association Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter, Kaden Tower, 6100 Dutchmans Ln Ste 401, Louisville, KY 40205-3284.
