LaCenter,Ky. Alton Edward Grief, age 83, of Medinah, Illinois passed away Friday, February 9. Alton was a professional drag racer for over 25 years ranking #1 in the NHRA for five years and then and active harness racer/trainer for 10 years with multiple winning horses. He was the loving husband of the late Wanda Jean(nee) King; beloved father of Rhonda Grief, Tracy Grief, the late Rodger Dale Grief, and the late Patricia Lee Grief; cherished grandfather of Krystle Testa, Tana (Zeb) Allen, Nicole (Richie) Longbien, and Brittany Vyas; proud great grandfather of Landynn, Michael, Owen and Khalia; fond brother of Dalton (Susan) Grief, dear uncle of Elaine Grief, Robert (Jennifer) Grief, and Maxine (Earl) Bless. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY. Funeral Services will be Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Wes Morehead officiating.
