Kevil, KY – Arthur Vernon Benton, 74, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. He was born in Missouri to the late Arthur Harold and Lottie M. (Hamilton) Benton.

Arthur owned and operated Affordable Heating and Air, was a member of the Associated General Contractors, and held both journeyman and master certifications in HVAC. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, he loved helping others and spent four months volunteering after Hurricane Katrina. He was also a member of Barlow Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty Benton of Kevil, KY; a daughter, Destinee Benton of Wickliffe, KY; two sons, Scott Pearson (Vickie) of LaCenter, KY, and Steve Pearson (Brandy) of Wickliffe, KY; five grandchildren, Skyler Pearson, Carra Pearson (Leah), Ashlyn Benton, Ryleigh Fasolo, and Brayden Borders; and one great-grandchild, Callum Pearson.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY starting at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. 

Interment will follow at Newton Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
