LaCenter, KY. Barbara Jean Boyd, 87, of Allison Iowa passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison in Allison, Iowa. She was born February 25, 1930, in Kankakee, Illinois, to Alfred Alexander and Veda Myrl (Gray) Ward. Barbara graduated from LaCenter High School in LaCenter, KY. She was a member of a Baptist Church, Eastern Star and PEO. Barbara enjoyed professional baseball especially the Miami Marlins and Chicago Cubs. She especially loved her grandchildren, pizza and hot dogs. She is survived by three sons Larry Boyd of Marietta, Georgia, Charles Boyd of Parkland, Florida and Jeff Boyd of Ponder, Texas, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Betty Ward. Visitation will be Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 3:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter. Memorial Services will be at 4:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mark Sickling officiating. Interment will follow at LaCenter Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to ST.
