LaCenter, KY Barvia Ann Piper, age 84 passed away peacefully on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Life Care of LaCenter surrounded by her family. , Barvia  was born in LaCenter, KY on December 2, 1939 to her late parents Noble Piper and Lucille Sparks Piper. She graduated from Ballard Memorial High School and shortly thereafter moved to Memphis, TN. She worked in Memphis for Data Graphix, a logistics company. Later she transferred with the company to San Diego, CA where she retired as supervisor over one of their divisions. After retirement she moved back to Ballard County. Barvia loved spending time with her family and was a very involved aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. She never forgot a birthday and always sent cards on special occasions.

She is survived by a brother, Neil Piper (Nancy) of LaCenter; two sisters, Shirley Moore of West Paducah, KY and Joyce Weller of Lexington, KY; a nephew, Randy Moore; five nieces, Lynn Thomas (Mike), Tammie Edwards (Mark), Tina McMahan (Tom), Stephanie Hook and Renee Reid (Clayton); five great nieces; six great nephews; three great great nieces; six great great nephews; a special life long friend, Delores Hatler.

Barvia was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Lyndel Piper and great nephew, Ryan Edwards.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 beginning at 11 a.m. at Maplelawn Cemetery in Paducah with Rev. Chris Cooper officiating.

Interment will follow the service at Maplelawn Cemetery.
