LaCenter, KY - Charles Melvin Luck went home to his Lord on December 13, 2022. Melvin, as he was known, was born in LaCenter, KY on Aug. 31, 1940 to Charles Eldon And Mary Alice Moore Luck.

Melvin was a member of Oscar Baptist Church. Melvin retired from E J & E Railway in Gary, Indiana after 40 years of service. He and his wife moved back home to Ballard County in 2001. Melvin liked to hunt and fish. He also liked to grow a garden. More recently he enjoyed going to the Ballard County Senior Citizens to eat and play Rook. He made many friends at the center.

He is survived by his daughter, Melecia Wildharber (James D.) of LaCenter; two grandsons, Adam Livingston of Westfield, IN and Jeremy Banning (Shiloh) of Crown Point, IN; one sister, Eldonna Baird of Paducah, KY.; as well as several nephews and nieces.

Melvin is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 48 years Pauluette Spencer Luck; one son, Charles Edwyn Luck; one sister, Glenda Luck Whitney.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 1:00pm at Oscar Cemetery with Bro. Roger Connor officiating.
