David Lynn Whipple, 60, of Wickliffe, KY, went to meet his Lord and Savior on September 30, 2023 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born August  16, 1963, in Paducah, KY to his parents Midge and Durwood Whipple of Bandana, KY.

David was married to the late Monica Joyce Whipple and was blessed with one child, Jonathan Whipple (Kristin) and three grandchildren, Colton, Simon, and Oliver. David leaves behind two brothers, Nathan (Julie) Whipple and Tony (Danielle) Whipple, his parents and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and many cousins.

David will be remembered for his work as a volunteer firefighter on the Bandana, Barlow and Wickliffe Volunteer Fire Departments for a span of over twenty years. He was instrumental in obtaining a grant for the Wickliffe Rural Volunteer Fire Department to purchase a new Class A Pumper truck in 2005. He worked tirelessly obtaining funding and training for his department. David was a graduate of Ballard Memorial High School class of 1982.

He enjoyed many hours tending his garden and helping his neighbors. He was a master gardener and gave vegetables to all who wanted them. David and his garden will be missed. David had a love for his fellowman and worked at being a helpful neighbor and friend. David will be remembered for his kindness and love for family and community. He especially enjoyed the "breakfast bunch" each morning at Carol's and the Bluegrass.

David attended Faith Baptist Church and was a member of Bandana Baptist in Bandana, KY.

Visitation will be held on October 6, 2023 at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center beginning at 11:00 am.

Funeral Services will be held on October 6, 2023 at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center beginning at 1:00 pm with Bro. Larry Purcell officiating.

Interment will follow at Wickliffe Cemetery.
