Earnest Brown 79 years old of Wickliffe, KY died on June 8, 2017 at 11:35 p.m. at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Visitation will be June 11, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. for family and 5:00 p.m. for friends at the Morrow Funeral Home in LaCenter, Ky. Funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2017 at Morrow Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Greif will officiate with the burial to follow at the Bethlehem Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrow Funeral Home. Earnest was born in Wickliffe, KY to Harvey and Pearl Carter Brown on August 1, 1937. He went to school at Wickliffe Elementary School. He married Twila Elizabeth Pigg on June 10, 1960 in Cairo, Illinois. He was self-employed as a contractor for 57 years. He was a farmer for many years. In addition, he was a Pastor for 44 years at the House of Prayer in LaCenter, KY, Pine Street in East Prairie, Mo, Washington Avenue in Cairo, Il and 24 years at Alexander Freewill Baptist Church in Olive Branch, Il. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army. Earnest is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Pearl Carter Brown of Wickliffe, KY and his brothers, Thomas Brown, Roger Brown, Marshall Brown and two sisters, Monell Dowdy and Dora Richardson. Earnest is survived by his wife, Twila Elizabeth Pigg Brown and one son, James Brown of Lexington, KY and two daughters, Susan Whybark (Gary) of Wickliffe, KY and Kimberly Greif (Robert) of Wickliffe, KY, two sisters, Annie Case and Cebe Garner of Wickliffe, KY, three grandchildren, Joshua Greif (Ashlin), Leslie Victoria Whybark (Tucker), and Timothy Greif (Kelsey) of Wickliffe, KY and four great-grandchildren, Haley Barker of Morehead, Mo, Kylie Thomas, Kodie Thomas and Collins Greif of Wickliffe, Ky.
