LaCenter, Ky. Emily Shemwell, age 96, died at Life Care Center in LaCenter Saturday evening at 4:50 p.m. Emily was a member of First Baptist Church of LaCenter. She farmed for many years in Ballard County with her husband Charles. She was a Master Farm Homemaker. Emily taught Primary Sunday School Class for many years. Emily is survived by one son Jerry Keith Shemwell and his wife Alice of Paducah, one daughter Cheryl Walters and her husband Steve of Wickliffe, Ky. One sister Louise Viniard of Gage. Four Grandchildren Todd Williams and his wife Jeana of LaCenter, Eric Williams and his wife Amy of LaCenter, Ashley Gibson and her husband Trent of Murray, Ky., and Amy Elizabeth Shemwell Casson and her husband Chase of California. Eleven Great Grandchildren Neely and Tinslee Williams, Caden and Cohen Williams, Grayson and Tyce Gibson, Caroline , Audrey and Kate Casson, and Abby and Anna Gates. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Shemwell, four brothers, three sisters and her parents James and Essie Terrell. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m at First Baptist Church in LaCenter with the Rev. Mark Sickling officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday Evening after 5:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter and Tuesday after 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in LaCenter.
