Fred R. Emily Sept. 3, 1940 - Jan. 8, 2017 Jeffersonville, Indiana. Freddie Ray Emily, 76, passed away on Sunday, Jan 8, 2017, with his family by his side. He was born Sept. 3, 1940 in Frenchtown, Indiana, son of Louis and Lillie Francis Emily. He graduated in 1958 from North Harrison High School and immediately joined the US Navy where he served as a radarman aboard the USS Fiske. He went on to graduate from Indiana University with a degree in business management and was an Instructor at Ivy College when he retired. He attended Sacred Heart Church for many years, loved all kinds of sports and was an avid IU fan. He is survived by his daughter Marcia Mathis (Bill) of W. Paducah Ky, and son Bryan Emily (Wendy) of Benton, Ky. He has 4 grandchildren, Amanda Burns, W. Paducah Ky and John Emily, Kevin Emily and Lauryn Emily, all of Benton Ky. He also leaves behind his faithful companion Molly. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. Entombment will be at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in a private ceremony.
