Hugh Wright Richmond, age 96 passed away June 1, 2022 at Life Care Center in LaCenter, KY. He was born to his parents, William and Maggie McKinnon Richmond on March 1, 1926.

Hugh was an Air Force Army Veteran serving in both World War II and the Korean War. Hugh was fascinated with airplanes, enjoyed flying, had his pilot's license which he retired after 28 years of service as an airplane mechanic at Eastern Airlines. Hugh enjoyed boating and being out on the water. He loved his family dearly and will be missed.

Hugh is survived by one son, Johnnie Gunn and his wife Mary of Fayetteville, North Carolina; a daughter, Ginny Honchell and her husband Biff of Kevil, KY; four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Richmond; one brother, a grandson James Summers and his parents.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY. Air Force military honors will begin at 5 p.m.

Graveside Services will be Monday, June 6, 2022 at Cedar Park Cemetery in Calumet Park, Illinois beginning at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Travis Holder.

Interment will follow.
