Wickliffe, KY: James Hilton (Jim) Edwards, 86, of Wickliffe died Monday, December 22, 2014 at 8:14 P.M. at Baptist Health of Paducah. Mr. Edwards is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Jean Hines Edwards of Wickliffe; one son, Mark Allen Edwards (wife Tammie) of Ledbetter; one daughter, Dawn Michelle Edwards Carroll (husband Doug) of Paducah; for grandchildren, Tyler Edwards (wife Carrie), Austin Edwards, Mallory Carroll, and Logan Carroll; two great-grandchildren, Britton Edwards and Gavin McKendree; and one sister-in-law, Inez Edwards. Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Hattie Edwards, two brothers, Mallory Edwards and Lylbern Edwards; one sister-in-law, Katherine Edwards; and one grandson, Ryan Edwards. Mr. Edwards was retired from the University of Kentucky Agricultural Extension Service, serving Ballard County for 35 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in LaCenter, KY. Mr. Edwards (Granddaddy Jim, Daddy Dan, Bosco) was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to those whose lives he touched, and above all, a child of God. His parting words to his family are a tribute to his life, "Please don't grieve at my passing, but rather celebrate and rejoice in our blessed and wonderful life together, and our loving family. God has so richly blessed us." A memorial service for Jim Edwards will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY. Mr. Edwards requested no flowers.
