James Daniel Tharp known as JD or Dan passed away on June 22, 2017 at his home in Ocala, FL after complications from major surgery. Dan was born in Wickliffe, KY on May 29, 1950 and moved to Miami, FL with his family in 1956. He was retired from the PIpefitters Local Union # 821, which he had been a member since 1980. His favorite hobbies were watching sports of all kinds and relaxing in his pool. Dan was a Mason and a member of the Masonic Lodge and New Liberty Baptist Church. Dan is survived by his son Daniel Tharp and wife Diana, his mother Juanita Tharp, his two brothers and a sister and their spouses, Roy Tharp (Gloria), Wayde Tharp (Marcy), Ouida Rice (Lyn) and a a number of cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Debbie Tharp, his father James Roy Tharp, his sister Deleta Tharp, grandparents Owen & Lucille Stewart and Andy & Alice Tharp. Visitation will be Thursday evening after 5:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter with the Rev.
