Kevil, Ky, Joe Edd Young, age 92, passed away on December 7, 2024, at Providence Pointe. He was born on June 16, 1932, to his parents, A.W. Young and Fannie Mae Owsley Young.

Joe was a devout man of the Lord. He was the song leader and a deacon at Pleasant Valley Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years and he served as a Gideon for over 30 years. Joe was a United States Marine Veteran. He was a dairy farmer for 50 years on his family farm in Monkeys Eyebrow. Joe was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. He enjoyed gardening, but his family was his biggest pride and joy.

He is survived by one son, Joseph Patrick Young (Suzanne) of Kevil, KY; three daughters, LeVerda Jo Wallace (Willie) of Louisville, KY, Terri Hyatte (Ron) of Kevil, KY, Teddi Powell (Larry) of LaCenter, KY; one sister, Betty Griffin of Kevil, KY; ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Shirley Young, his second wife Ruth Young and his sister, Mary Ashby.

Visitation Services will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Cain officiating.
