Barlow, KY. Larry Joe Johnston, age 82, died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 6:35 p.m. at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY. Larry was a member of Barlow United Methodist Church where he was instrumental in reinstating the chimes. He was a member of Operating Engineers # 181. He was a member of Axe Lake Hunting and Fishing Club. He was an avid U.K. Basketball fan and St. Louis Cardinals Fan. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Pat Johnston of Barlow, KY, one son Greg Johnston of Barlow, KY. Two grandchildren, Savanna Jo Hinchcliffe of Owesboro, KY and Eric Johnston of Barlow, Ky. two sisters Glenda Sue Hodges ( Bill) of Kevil, KY and Claudette Giles of Barlow, KY. His step mother Margaret Johnston of Paducah, KY. One half sister Nancy King ( Alfred) of Paducah, KY.One step sister Patty Lee Rich of Barlow, KY. Five half brothers David Johnston ( Gina) of Paducah, KY, Danny Johnston ( Marcia) of Paducah, KY, Billy Johnston (Becky) of Paducah, KY, Bobby Johnston of Paducah, KY and Charlie Joe Johnston (Lori) of Paducah, KY. . Larry was preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis Ann Hinchcliffe, one half brother, Frankie Johnston, and infant sister and his parents Burle and Lillie Rasco Bailey. Visitation will be Friday evening after 5:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY. Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 11. 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY. with the Rev. Matthew Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Barlow Cemetery.
