Kevil, KY Melody Dennis, age 83, passed away at Life Care Center in LaCenter, Monday, March 13, 2023. She was born December 11, 1939 in Grant Park, Illinois to her parents, Amos Curry and Mamie Emma Peno Loveland.

Melody was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She retired after several years of being employed at Life Care Center in LaCenter. She loved gardening in her flowers, especially with roses. Melody enjoyed watching humming birds and martins.

She is survived by a son, Denny Dennis and his wife Janet of Kevil, KY; a sister, Evelyn Joyce Beasley of LaCenter, KY; five grandchildren, Michael Don Dennis and his wife Emily, Brent Curtis Dennis, Matt Austin Dennis and his wife Jaclyn, Tabitha Woodall and her husband Ricky and Becky Kinder and her husband Glen; Nine great grandchildren.

Melody was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Dennis; two sisters, four brothers, her parents and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 18, 2023 after 11:00 a.m. at Morrow Funeral chapel in LaCenter, KY.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Guy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at LaCenter Cemetery.
