Obituary

Mrs. Nancy S. Isbell Ingrum of Hickman, KY (Cayce community) passed away on January 13, 2024 at the age of 81.

Nancy was born in Union City, TN on April 23, 1942 to the late Charles A. Isbell and Fannie Ruth (McDaniel) Isbell and was raised in the Woodland Mills community. She graduated from Woodland Mills High School in 1960 where she excelled as a basketball player.

She married Roy E. Ingrum on July 15, 1961 and had two sons, Alan Ingrum and Mark Ingrum.

She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Woodland Mills First Baptist Church. Nancy had a strong work ethic, which enabled her to provide for her family. She began working at the former Reelfoot Packing Company after graduation, then later joined her husband in their farming operation. She was involved in many aspects of the farming industry as a producer of grain, livestock, and the marketing of grain. She served on the Board of Directors at the former Fulton County Grain Company of Hickman, KY as well as many other business interests.

Nancy was a dedicated wife and mother. Her love for her sons was immeasurable . Her greatest qualities included her high character, loyalty, honesty, and integrity. Nancy was an outstanding southern cook, basketball enthusiast and loyal Kentucky Wildcat fan. She had a tremendous sense of humor and all those who knew her enjoyed her company.

She is survived by two sons, Alan Ingrum and Mark Ingrum both of the Cayce Community; her sister, Dianne Pope (Bill) of Jacksonville, FL; her sister-in-law Faye Isbell of Union City, TN; surviving members of her husband's family and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Charles Daniel Isbell; her father in law, Joseph E. Ingrum and mother in law, Rubye V. Ingrum and several members of her husband's family.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. at Obion County Memorial Gardens in Union City, TN with Brother Rick Burton officiating. Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY is handling arrangements.

Pallbearers include; Jeff Marshall, John H. Davis, Ken Marshall, Charles Reams, Bob Anderson, Leroy Harrison, Alex Zalsman, Jason, K. Riley, Travis S. Mangold and Matthew Gray.

Honorary friends and family of Mrs. Ingrum include: Lynn and Pat Major, the Lucy Strong family, the Harold Marshall family, Jim and Dana Buckland and Carole Lattus; her cousins; Hazel Williams, Patsy Johnson, Ralph McDaniel and Carolyn Gore.

A special thank you to her trusting friends, Mr. Jack Parker and Mr. Vanoy Cox.

The family would also like to recognize the selfless friends and individuals who devoted their time, gestures, kindness, gifts, meals and labor; Alex and Carly Zalsman, Jim and Dana Buckland, Nick and Chalee Buckland, Tracy Cochrum, Christian Kirkland Lattus and Reams Farms.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family has requested donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.

Due to inclement weather the family ask that everyone attending the graveside use their best judgement and be safe. If you are unable to attend the family understands.
