Nancy Jane Smith, aged 75, peacefully passed on July 30, 2026, at Life Care Center in LaCenter, KY. Born on November 19, 1950, in Ballard County to William C. and Mildred Potts, Nancy was a cherished member of the Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Her love for UK Basketball and animals defined her joyful spirit, but her family was her true devotion.

Nancy's memory is lovingly preserved by her daughters, Tammy Fick (Ronnie) of Kevil, KY, Rebecca Leath (Adam) of Wickliffe, KY, her brother David Earl Potts of Ledbetter, KY, and her granddaughter Abigail Pearson (Kolton) of Wickliffe, KY. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Randall Smith, and her parents.

Family and friends will gather to honor Nancy at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church on August 3, 2026, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Drew Gray. 

Her final resting place will be at the church cemetery, where her legacy of love and devotion will be fondly remembered.
