LaCenter, KY Norman E. Atherton, age 86, died Saturday morning at 1:00 a.m. at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center In Paducah. Norman was a Korean Army War Veteran. He was a member of Ohio Valley Baptist Church. He farmed for several years. He retired as an Auto Mechanic of several different dealerships. Norman is survived by two sons Larry Atherton of LaCenter, KY, and David Atherton of Milledgeville, TN. Two daughters Cheryl Scott of Bandana, KY and Missy O'Connor of Kevil, KY. Nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Julia Atherton, a grandson Michael Atherton, a daughter-in-law Tammy Atherton, two brothers, six sisters and his parents were William and Dora Hobbs Ahterton. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 16 from 6-8 p.m.at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter with the Rev. John Baker and Rev. Rodney Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery in Cunningham, Ky. Memorial contributions may be sent to International Gideons P.O.
