LaCenter, KY Shirley Jean Elrod, age 83, passed away at her son's home on Thursday, September 8, 2022. She was born to her late parents, Edward and Dorothy Tharp Canada on December 25, 1938.

She lived in Kevil for many years. For many years she was employed at Nursing Homes and also, became a private duty nurse. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Shirley loved her dogs.

Shirley is survived by two sons, Billy Glenn Elrod of LaCenter and Keith Wayne Elrod of Kevil, KY; two daughters, Linda Kay Oatsvell of Grahamville, KY and Crystal Estes of Kevil, KY; one brother, Edward Gene Canada of Kevil, KY; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Q. Elrod and her parents. There are no services scheduled at this time.
