Kevil, KY Sylvia Shepherd, age 66 passed away at her home on Saturday, May 3, 2025. She was born on October 16, 1958, to her late parents, Don and Mary Evelyn (Dew) Hussey in Paducah, KY.

Sylvia was a member of Newton Creek Baptist Church where she served as the youth leader for several years. She started her lifelong career in 1999 at Peoples Bank where she worked in the Trust Department. She later went on to Hillard Lyons where she ended up getting her Brokers License and was employed until she retired in October of 2020.

She loved spending time in her garden and tending to her flowers. Sylvia loved her family, but her greatest joy was her grand babies. She enjoyed fishing with them and telling them about Jesus.

Sylvia is survived by her husband of 50 years, Cliff Shepherd of Kevil, KY; one son, Craig Shepherd (Jessica) of Barlow, KY; one daughter, Emily Warren (Clint) of Kevil, KY; six grandchildren, Tanner Shepherd, Tyler Shepherd (Audriana), Kenslee Shepherd, Keylee Shepherd, Chase Warren, and Anna Warren; two sisters, Marcia Johnston (Danny) of Paducah, KY and Donna Farrar (Jay) of Oxford, Alabama; brother-in-law, Brian Shepherd, sister-in-law; Beth Shepherd, several nieces and nephews and her dog, Elly.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation Service will be held at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Newton Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
