Kevil, KY Thelma Moffitt, age 96, passed way on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. She was born in Moncks Corner, South Carolina on February 10, 1928 to her late parents; Nathaniel and Corine (Sims) West.

Thlema attended Heath Church of Christ in West Paducah, KY. She was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan, loved to garden and can the produce. Most of her life she farmed with her husband William. Enjoyed camping and hiking with her family. Her passion was her family, she loved them dearly.

Thelma is survived by a son, Jim Moffitt of Kevil, KY; a daughter Karen Mitchell and her husband Ralph of Kevil, KY; two grandchildren, Lisa Lee and her husband Michael of Kevil and Andrew Mitchell of Jackson, Missouri; one great granddaughter, Maya Lee.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Moffett of 56 years, four sisters, Frances Lindsey, Verna Lee Hobbs, Mary Wenningham and Louise Lee. Her parents were Nathaniel and Corine Sims.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Lebanon Church of Christ Cemetery in Sedalia, KY with Grant Smith officiating.

Interment will follow at Lebanon Church of Christ Cemetery.
