LaCenter, KY, Valerie Sue Brons, age 68, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, in Paducah, KY. She was born on June 8, 1957, in Rosiclare, Illinois.

Valerie moved to LaCenter, KY in 2022 after many years in Alabama. She attended First Baptist Church of LaCenter with her family, who were always her greatest joy. Valerie cherished time spent together—whether gathering for holidays, sharing meals, or simply being with her grandchildren and her beloved dog, Benji. She also loved antiquing with her sister, Patty, playing pool, and tending her flower garden. In her kitchen, she delighted in baking for those she loved, and she had a special passion for decorating her home for the holidays, especially Christmas. During Michael's Navy years, the family treasured sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, and in recent years, Valerie found joy in building their forever home with her husband.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Michael Brons of LaCenter, KY; one son, Adam Brons (Amanda) of Forsyth County, Georgia; one daughter, Abigail Harper (Graham) of LaCenter, KY; one sister, Patty Meredith of Harrisburg, Illinois; and six grandchildren, Jude Harper, Samuel Harper, Nora Harper, Luke Harper, Dylan Brons and Cadence Brons.

Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bryan Hobbs and Keith Hobbs and one sister, Brenda Cowsert.

Visitation Services will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Morrow Funeral Chapel of LaCenter, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until funeral time.

Interment will follow at LaCenter Cemetery.
