LaCenter, KY Velma Walters Wilson went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Velma was born to her parents William and Aline Pittman Walters June 24, 1947. She attended Murray State College for two years. Velma was a member of First Baptist Church of LaCenter. She was a licsened Funeral Director in the State of Kentucky. Velma loved her family. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Michael Wilson of LaCenter, one son; Will Wilson (Kristen) of Wickliffe. One Daughter Holly Susan Wilson of Wickliffe, KY. One brother Bob Walters (Susie) of Wickliffe. One sister Brenda Hornback (Edward) of Madisonville, Ky. Nine grandchildren; Sam Wilson, Susannah Wilson, Clayton Wilson, Madison Wilson, Jenna Wilson, Cam Wilson, Ava Wilson, Emily Sullivan and Drew Sullivan. Three great grandchildren; Knox Wilson, Ella Wilson and Poppy Louise Wilson. Velma was preceded in death by one sister Jean Carol Campbell, three brothers; William Wayne Walters, Sherman Walters, and Steve Walters. Her parents William and Aline Walters. Funeral Services will be Saturday , November 30, 2019 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church in LaCenter with the Rev. Brian Steward and Rev Mark Bond officiating. Interment will follow at Wickliffe Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday Evening at First Baptist Church from 6-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church of LaCenter.
