Wayne D. Harris, age 88, of Paducah, KY passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. from injuries sustained from an automobile accident. Mr. Harris was born January 16, 1927 to the late Ira and Pearl Dowdy Harris in Paducah, KY. He was a member of the Margaret Hank Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. He retired from National Cash Register, and he served his country in the United States Navy. Surviving are his two children, Randy Harris and wife Patty of La Center, KY., and Janice Harris of Paducah, KY., two grandsons, Clay Harris and fiance' Lori Cook of Ledbetter, KY., and Austin Harris and wife Alyssa of La Center, KY., two sisters Barbara Heath of Mayfield, KY., and Francis Fox and husband Don of Paducah, KY., several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Lynda Throgmorton Harris, two brothers, George Harris and Dr. Melvin Harris. Visitation will be Saturday, January 24th from 11am to 2pm at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center, KY. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. with Rev Mark Sickling officiating.
