William Riley Hodge Jr. "Corky," age 67, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026, at his home in Paducah, KY. Born on June 17, 1959, in Hickman, KY, he was the beloved son of the late William Riley Hodge Sr. and Angie Ruth Mitchum.

Corky graduated from Fulton County High School in 1977, where he excelled as a gifted athlete. He devoted 20 years to working as a Tankerman in the river industry before retiring. A passionate supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals, Corky also loved hunting, fishing, music, cooking, and photography.

He leaves behind a loving family: his son, Waylon Hodge (Holly) of Palmersville, TN; his daughter, Maxwell of Louisville, KY; his brother, John Hodge (Phyliss) of Paducah, KY; his sister, Heather Greater (Drew) of Louisville, KY; and five cherished grandchildren.  He is also remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Corky was preceded in death by his infant brother and parents.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Sassafras Ridge Baptist Church in Hickman, KY. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Billy Crowell. 

Interment will take place at Hickman City Cemetery.
