Barlow, KY Wayne Pool, age 71, died Wednesday morning at 1:53 a.m. at Baptist Health. He drove a truck for Davis Transport for 27 years. He also drove truck for Roadmax Trucking for five years and then retired from trucking. He was a member of Ohio Valley Baptist Church. He and his wife sold produce at Kuttawa for 14 years. They sold souvenirs at the Sikeston Drag Strip in Sikeston, MO for 14 years.

Wayne was an awesome husband, a great dad and a wonderful PaPa. Wayne is survived by his wife of 52 years Melody Pool, two sons; Robert Pool and his wife Sharon of Kingsport, TN and Nick Pool of Florida. One daughter Staci Kettles of Sikeston, MO. Three sisters; Jackie Steele of LaCenter, KY, Peggy Carter of Barlow, KY and Joyce Williamson of Morgantown, KY. Four grandchildren; Ashley Sturgill, Courtney Young, Emma Artis and Zack Artis.  Two great grandchildren; Charity young and Desmond Young.

He was preceded in death by his parents King and Bernetta Pool. Two brothers; Junior Pool, and Virgil Pool and three sisters; Betty Jennings,Catherine Dixon and Jo Nell Horn.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY with Rev. Richard Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 1, 2020 after 10:00 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, Ky. Memorial contributions may be sent to First Community Bank of LaCenter c/o Melody Pool.
