Maurice Bobo Dunn

Maurice (Bobo) Dunn, age 90, of Wickliffe passed away at Life Care of La Center on September 19, 2018 at 12:45 AM. He was born to Harold Ewen and Ressie Dunn of Barlow on June 16, 1928. He was a Founding Elder of Resurrection Fellowship Church of La Center, KY in 1994. He served as a member of The Gideons International in the Paducah West Camp since 1983. His entire life was focused around the grace that he had found in the Lord Jesus Christ. He expressed it through his church, The Gideons and every contact of life. He is survived by two sons, Ron A. Dunn of Huntingdon, TN and Glen Dunn (Sondra) of Bandana, KY; four grandchildren, Clay Dunn of Washington, D.C., Joe (Stephanie) Dunn of Nashville, TN, Samantha Dunn of Huntingdon, TN and Luann (Clay) Riley of Jackson, MO; and two great granddaughters, Lucy and Nora Dunn of Nashville, TN. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Jean Dunn of Wickliffe, one still born daughter, Vicky Dunn (1952), one brother, Robert E. Dunn (Cledia) of Barlow, and two sisters, Beryl Dunn Lawrence (J.T.) of Wickliffe and Doris Dunn Jackson (Jimmy) of Mounds, IL. Mr. Dunn was widely known for operating the water system in Wickliffe from 1950-1967. He retired from the power house at Westvaco at Wickliffe after being on the start up crew in 1968. Visitation will be held Friday, September 21, 2018 from 5-8 pm at Resurrection Fellowship in LaCenter, KY. Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10 am at the church with Rev. Richard Hicks and Brother Glen Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Wickliffe Cemetery. The family wants to express their extreme gratitude to the staff at Life Care Center of La Center for their love, concern, professionalism and compassion shown to both Bobo and Jean over the last 5 years.
