Barlow, KY, Raymond Paul Logsdon, age 74, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 5, 2018 at his home in Barlow. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Barlow to J.W. and Helen (Beasley) Logsdon on June 24, 1943. He attended Reed Custer High School in Braidwood,Illinois. Paul went on to work for several manufacturing plants including Brand Plastics, Joliet Army Ammunition Plant and Uniroyal before ending his career at Westvaco Paper after and industrial accident that left him disabled. He was a craftsman that could design and fabricate anything you could dream up. His talents ranged from mechanics to welding to carpentry. Paul
was a Golden Gloves boxer in his younger days in Chicago. He was also an avid coon hunter and horseman and coached his sons baseball team. He was selfless and always helping someone. He was a member of Barlow Baptist Church. Paul will be greatly missed by so many. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a good friend to many.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Ellen (Perona) Logsdon; two sons, David (Barbara) Logsdon, Marty (Deanne) Logsdon; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Logsdon; One brother, Glen (Joanne) Logsdon. 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his son, Danny Logsdon and his parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday , February 8 at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Morrow Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be officiated by Marty Logsdon and David Logsdon with graveside by Pastor Scott Fickes.
