Robert Harris Jr.

LaCenter, KY Robert Harris Jr. died Sunday evening December 22, 2019 at his home in LaCenter. Robert was born February 15, 1928 to his parents Robert and Herody Ashford Harris. He was 91 years old. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He farmed most of his life. Robert was employed at the Atomic Energy Plant for four years. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a member of North Ballard Masonic Lodge # 537 for over 50 years. Robert is survived by one son David Harris and his wife Carlann of LaCenter, one brother Elbert A. Harris of Goreville, Illinois, one sister Mary Ellen McDougal of West Paducah, KY. Five grandchildren; Larry Harris (Charissa) of LaCenter, Terry Harris (Cathy) of Bandana, Tracy Garner of LaCenter, Jamie O’Hara of Paducah, and Jon O’ Hara of Paducah. five great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Morrell Harris, a daughter Linda O’Hara and his parents. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 24 from 11:00 am until funeral time at 1:00 pm at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY. Masonic Rites will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Funeral Services will follow with interment following at New Hope Baptist Church. Brother Guy Johnson will be officiating.
