Barlow, KY - Samuel "Sammy" Bledsoe, 62, died Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the
Lourdes Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.
Sammy was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He retired after many years
of service as a brick mason, carpenter, and bridge builder. Sammy was an
avid fisherman, musician, and arm-chair coach of the Kentucky Wildcats
basketball team.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carolyn (Milburn) Bledsoe of
Barlow; his daughter, Kim Bledsoe of Paducah, KY; his extra special
great-nephew, Javyn Byas, his mother, Dorothy (Wilson) Bledsoe of Union
City, TN; his brothers: Walter Bledsoe and Lamarsh Bledsoe; his sisters:
Noletha Bledsoe, Marie Kimble, Zena Bledsoe, Carol Bledsoe, Virginia Avery,
and Charlotte Bledsoe; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Qualin Bledsoe and one brother, Tony
Bledsoe.
A memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Fairview
Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Rodney Hill officiating.
