LaCenter, KY Kenneth Ray Harrison, age 88, passed away peacefully while sitting outside in his chair enjoying the sun in front of his apartment on April 10, 2026.
Kenneth was born on November 30, 1937, to the late Abe and Ruth Harrison. He made a profession of faith, was baptized and became a member of Antioch Baptist Church where he was still a member. He graduated from Ballard Memorial High School in 1956, which was the first class of four years at BMHS. He was a good athlete and excelled in basketball. His sister was a loud fan in the stands and could be very upset if she didn't think something was fair. He also enjoyed playing baseball at school. His sister Jane would pitch and bat to him so he could practice at home.
Shortly after graduation, he chose to move to St. Louis for work. However, he soon decided to come back home and farm with his father.
He is survived by his sister, Jane Harrison Humphrey, the youngest of seven children and lives in Kevil, KY. He is also survived by a "special" great niece, Farrah Gilbert and her daughters, Paige Hedrick and Brooke Newton.
He was preceded in death by by four sisters: Verdis Lee Underwood, Burnette Williams, Shirley Davis and Dorothy Simmons; his only brother, Coy Everett Harrison and his parents.
Survivors in the Harrison Family Tree include many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and even great great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Robert Bickford officiating.
Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, Ky is handling arrangements.
