Alta Ann Ross

LaCenter, KY, Alta Ann Ross, age 86, passed away at Baptist Health Hospital of Paducah, on October 9, 2024. Alta was born on October 11, 1937, to her late parents Major and Christine Hinkle.

Alta was a member of Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker but also worked for Viniard's Market for many years. Alta helped on the family farm as needed, whether it was preparing meals or flagging traffic while moving equipment. She always put her family first and will be mostly remembered for her amazing cooking. Alta cooked many Sunday family meals throughout her years.

She is survived by her children, Shawn (Debbie) Ross and Cindy (Mike) Wicker, both of LaCenter, KY; four grandchildren, Lauren (Colby) Foster, CJ (Kylie) Ross, Landon Wicker and Lane Wicker; three great grandchildren, Jack Foster, Maddox Sedberry and Cayce Foster; three nieces and one nephew.

Alta was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Bobby Ross and her parents.

The family of Alta was truly blessed with a special caregiver, Patricia Pearson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, after 11:00 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY with Rev. Paul Tucker and Rev. Drew Gray officiating.

Interment will follow at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery.
