Ann Elizabeth (Leible) Damron

Ann Elizabeth Leible Damron, age 92 went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, January 22, 2023.

Ann was born March 12, 1930 in Charleston, MO to Anna and August Leible. She graduated from Oran High School and later married Arley Eugene Damron on April 21, 1950. Together they raised four boys on their farm in Kevil, KY. Her boys were her pride and joy. One of her favorite stories to tell was about all the compliments she received when she had the boys in their best clothes and how cute they were when they were little.

She had a passion for cooking and baking that led her to open Damron's Restaurant in 1976. She was well known for her made from scratch cooking, catering and her elaborate cakes. After retirement she and her husband enjoyed traveling, spending time with their grandchildren and were very active in standardbred horseracing. The highlight being winning the prestigious Governor's Cup in 1999 at the Du Quoin State Fair. She was a beloved and faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in LaCenter, KY.

Ann is survived by four sons, Gene Damron(Annette) of Kevil, KY, David Damron (Holly) of Kevil, KY, Allen Damron (Paula) of LaCenter, KY and Gary Damron (Shari) of LaCenter, KY; seven grandchildren, Greg Damron (Anna), Kristi Draper (Zane), Mieghan Damron, David Paul Damron (Ashley), Corey Damron (Taylor), Derrick Damron (Erika), and Ayrika Winters (Derrick); ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews that she loved so dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years A.E. Damron; all of her brothers and sisters; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in LaCenter, KY beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Emmanuel Udoh officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery.
