Bernice Gordon

LaCenter, KY Bernice Gordon, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. She was born in Muhlenberg County on June 5, 1939, to her late parents, O.T. and Opal Martin Shelton.

Bernice was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and loved going to church any opportunity she was given. She enjoyed going to Branson with her husband, Paul, where they attended many music and comedy shows. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, love for laughter and having fun while entertaining her friends and family. Bernice was a wonderful homemaker, but she will always be remembered for her famous Christmas candy. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Paul Gordon of LaCenter, KY; a son, Terry Gordon and his wife Norma of LaCenter, KY; two grandchildren, Mindi Blackburn and Kristi Soto (Juan); five great-grandchildren, Macyn, Alex, Jett, Makaila, and Jude; several nieces and nephews.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, David Shelton and Glenn Shelton.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024, after 11:00 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY with Rev. Greg Jones and Bro. David Hendon officiating.

Interment will follow at Oscar Cemetery.
