Billy Warford

Kevil, KY Billy Warford, age 88, passed away at his home Tuesday, August 29, 2023. He was born August 5, 1935 to his parents, Kellie and Adelle (Hankins) Warford.

Billy was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and attended Newton Creek Baptist Church. He was a member of Grahamville Masonic Lodge #707and was a Navy veteran. Billy retired from TVA where he was the Assistant Superintendent. He spent most of his time raising horses and would never turn down a good trail ride. Billy was an avid Cardinal Baseball and UK Basketball fan. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Billy was a kind man and would do anything for anyone.

Billy is survived by his wife of 14 years, Gwen Warford of Kevil, KY; two sons, Ricky Warford (Kim) of Reidland, KY and Mike Warford (Laurie) of Tyler, TX; a stepdaughter, Kelly Shoulta (Marc) of Symsonia, KY; a step son, Frankie Bell of Paducah, KY; four grandchildren, Aaron Warford, Austin Warford, Natali Warford and Allie Sullivan; five great grandchildren, Cooper Sullivan, Aiden Warford, Lilly Sullivan, Sawyer Warford and Cade Sullivan.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Warford; a granddaughter, Angie Warford; a brother, Rudy Wardford; three sisters, Louanna Jones, Ora Mae Rudolph and Pat Carroll and his parents.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.

Funeral service and Masonic Service will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 beginning at 1:30 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY with Rev. Scott Penick and Rev. Rodney Cude officiating.

Interment and Military Honors will follow at Newton Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
