Bobby Wilson Ross

Gage, KY Bobby Wilson Ross, age 86, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2023 at Baptist Health with his children by his side. He was born March 9, 1937 to his parents, Wilson Thomas and Arrah Henrietta Morgan Ross.

Bobby was a member of Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder for several years. He retired after 35 years at Ballard Rural Telephone as commercial manager. Bobby later served as a board member for Jackson Purchase Electric Corp. He was an army veteran and a farmer. He enjoyed taking care of his bees and sold honey every chance he got. Bobby dearly loved his family.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Alta Ann (Hinkle) Ross of Gage, KY; two children, Shawn (Debbie) Ross of LaCenter, KY and Cindy (Mike) Wicker of LaCenter, KY; four grandchildren, Lauren (Colby) Foster, CJ (Kylie) Ross, Landon Wicker and Lane Wicker; three great grandchildren, Jack Foster, Maddox Sedberry, and Cayce Foster; a brother, Allen (Doris) Ross of Kevil, KY; three nieces and a nephew.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents.

The family of Bobby was truly blessed with a special caregiver, Patricia Pearson.

Visitation will be held August 11, 2023 at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church after 11:00 a.m.

Funeral services will be held August 11, 2023 at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church beginning at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Tucker and Rev. Drew Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
