Bonita Gail Smith

LaCenter, KY, Bonita Gail Smith, age 74, passed away on November 5, 2025, at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. She was born on November 3, 1951, in Jackson, Michigan to her parents Bob Medlin and Leda Barrow.

Bonita was a member of General Baptist Church in Barlow, KY. She was employed at Credence Speakers, Walmart and Dollar General. Bonita loved to do crossword puzzles, word searches and was an avid reader all of her life. Her family was her pride and joy, and she enjoyed spending time with them any opportunity she got. If you knew her you loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Homer Smith of LaCenter, KY; four daughters, Wanda Smith (Paul Griffin) of LaCenter, KY, Dawn Mays of Barlow, KY, Tina Barnhill of Barlow, KY and Angela Pratt (Jeff) of LaCenter, KY; four step-daughters, Shanika Smith of Paducah, KY, Beverly Smith of Paducah, KY, Brandie Smith of Paducah, KY, and Trameca Anderson of Paducah, KY, one step-son, Roman Anderson of Missouri; God-son Wade Wilcox of Kevil, KY; one sister, Carolyn Medlin of Barlow, KY; one brother George Medlin of Metropolis, Illinois; twenty eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation Services will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Morrow Funeral Chapel beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Morrow Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dudley Hamilton officiating.

Interment will follow at LaCenter Cemetery in LaCenter, Ky.
